Autologous Exosomes

Growth Factor Delivery

The amount of growth factors released substantially increases when platelets are photothermally stimulated. This happens in a more physiological way, which means that not only the “flush” delivery increases, but a more “sustained” release takes place as well.

ATP Synthesis

When mitochondria are exposed to the proper wavelength of light, the boost of energy alters their electron state. To recover energetic equilibrium, mitochondria alter their trans-membrane proton gradient, which will ultimately lead to a huge increase in ATP production.

Platelet Performance

MCT primes platelets to function more effectively. This is why the MCT Kit® can work with any type of plasma and any commercial kits for PRP procurement. MCT does not concentrate platelets; it exposes them to photothermal conditioning protocols.

Thermal Biomodulation

Temperature modulation plays a pivotal role in cellular and platelet function. Low temperatures (4 °C) prime platelet activation and enhance the release of growth factors (VEGF, EGF, and bFGF), while higher temperatures (37 °C) induce exosome release, leading to higher concentrations of autologous exosomes in the injectable material.

Temperature directly influences exosome secretion kinetics with more exosomes released at higher temperatures.

MCT applies specific wavelengths of light with precise power and timing to optimize the biological response.
